In September, 2002, our quartet decided to audition to sing the national anthem at a Utah Jazz game. We made the trek in to Salt Lake City, tried out, and several weeks later were informed that we had been selected.
Naturally, I had already begun working in New Mexico by the time we were scheduled to sing. So I took a few days off and drove back up to Utah. The performance was a great success, and unfortunately, our final performance.
For the record, the New Orleans Hornets beat the Utah Jazz that night, 93-88, mostly because Utah couldn't shut down the Hornets' outside shooters.

There we are on the court, waiting for the warmups to finish. Luke rebounded a ball for Calbert Cheaney, and had to be told who he was. |

We begin singing. They gave us two microphones, so Rich and I had to hold them (rather awkwardly) to try to balance the parts correctly. |

There we are again. Doesn't the chick holding the video cable look excited to see us? |

A closeup of Voted off the Island's illustrous tenor on the Jumbotron. I'm sure the light off my head caused some major white balance issues. |

Another Jumbotron shot of the entire group. |

Yet another Jumbotron shot. From the looks of it, this was during a rounded vowel. |
